Are you a Celtic Harper, who loves playing Scottish music? Please consider sharing your beautiful harp music with a highly appreciative audience by participating in the harp competition at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games on Saturday, July 11. Harp competitions are wonderful opportunities to hone your harp skills, receive valuable feedback, and be part of an ancient Scottish tradition.
The on site registration will begin at 9:00, and the competition will begin at 10:30. The GMHG harp competition is sanctioned by the Scottish Harp Society of America (SHSA), and this year’s judge is Dr. Jennifer Narkevicius, current president of SHSA.
